Discipleship is the process by which we are being formed into the image of Jesus, with others, for the sake of others. Life Groups are one of the spaces in which we intentionally engage in the discipleship process. Life Groups are where we practice the way of Jesus together.
A lot of us have jobs where it is helpful to form a Community Of Practice (COPs). COPs are safe places where people of shared passion and interest gather to solve specific problems and develop skills and best practices. Think of your Life Group as a community of practice. It’s a safe space where we can ask our questions about faith, develop our spiritual practices, innovate practical ways to share God’s love and make progress in our formation into the image of Jesus. When we practice the way of Jesus together, our goal is not perfection; it is progress. The more we practice the way of Jesus together the more progress we will make in our process of discipleship.
Time Commitment: Weekly or biweekly on any day of the week.
