Jesus First Classes

to Apr 29

Jesus First Classes

When: Wednesdays, April 8 to 29, 2026
Time: 7–9 PM
Where: In-Person at Bayview Glen Church

This spring, we’re gathering mid-week as a church family to take intentional steps in putting Jesus First. Each class is a 4-week journey designed to deepen your faith and give you practical tools for everyday life.

  • Money can be one of the greatest stressors in life, or one of the greatest tools to honour God. This course will help you take practical steps to steward your finances, including managing debt, building savings, investing, and estate planning.

You’ll walk away not only more financially equipped, but also with a bigger vision of how God uses our resources for His Kingdom.

  • The Prayer course is designed to help people grow in their understanding and practice of prayer. It explores biblical foundations of prayer while offering simple, practical tools that can be used in everyday life, whether you are new to prayer or seeking renewal.

  • Jesus said to his disciples two thousand years ago, “follow me.” But what does it mean for us to follow Jesus today?

The Practicing the Way Course is an on-ramp to spiritual formation, exploring what it means to follow Jesus and laying the foundation for a life of apprenticeship to him.

Join us as we explore a life of discipleship by practicing the way of Jesus together.

  • The Bible is a unified story that leads to Jesus. But sometimes, reading it can feel intimidating or confusing.

This course will give you practical tools to see Scripture with fresh eyes. We’ll explore how to spot important features and themes in the Bible that will allow you tie the story together.

Come ready to be both equipped and amazed by the beauty of God’s Word.

Please note: Each course runs simultaneously on Wednesday nights, so you’ll need to choose one course for this season.

There is no childcare available.

Dr. Steve West – Professor of Theological Studies at Heritage College & Seminary, longtime pastor, and international lecturer in theology, philosophy, ethics, and apologetics.

Bradley Jersak – Author, teacher, and Principal of St. Stephen’s University, known for his work exploring the love of God revealed in Jesus Christ and its implications for justice and restoration.
