Summer Youth Hangouts
When: Tuesdays, July 7, 28 & Aug 4, 11, 18, 25
Time: 1 to 4 PM
Where: Bayview Glen Church (The Cafe + Gym)
Ages: Grade 6-12
Come hang out, have fun, and build community! We'll have the gym open for basketball, volleyball, and other games, plus video games, board games, and plenty of opportunities to connect with friends and leaders.
Everyone in Grades 6-12 is welcome. Bring a friend and join us - no registration needed!
Prayer & Worship Night
When: Saturday, August 15
Time: 6 to 7:30 PM
Where: Bayview Glen Church (Sanctuary)
Join us for an all-ages Prayer & Worship Night as kids, youth, and adults come together across generations to seek God. Through worship, Scripture, open prayer, and an interactive prayer activity for the whole family, everyone will have an opportunity to participate.
As we look ahead to where God is guiding us, we’ll focus on living on mission and what it means to GO into the places He has positioned us. Together, we’ll intentionally pray for students, schools, workplaces, jobs, and the people and communities God is inviting us to reach.
Whether you’ve been with us for years or this is your first time through our doors, there’s a place for you here.

Young Adults Summer BBQ
When: Friday, August 21
Time: 7 to 9 PM
Where: Bayview Glen Church
Ages: 18-29
Summer is here in full swing! Grab a plate and join Bayview Young Adults for an evening of good food, great conversation, and the kind of laid-back fun that makes summer unforgettable. Bring a friend, we always have room for one more!
Canada’s Wonderland Youth Trip
Ages: Grade 6 to 12
When: Monday, August 24
Time: 9:00 AM to 9:00PM
Cost: $40 ($15 if student already has a park pass)
We’re wrapping up summer with a full day at Canada’s Wonderland! Students in Grades 6 to 12 are invited to join us for rides, games, snacks, and plenty of time to hang out with friends and our Bayview Youth community.
The trip cost includes transportation and park admission. Students may bring extra money for food, games, or souvenirs, but it is completely optional. They are also welcome to pack a lunch, which can be left on the bus until our scheduled meal time.
Our adult Bayview Youth leaders will be with the group throughout the day to chaperone, support students, and help make the trip a fun and positive experience for everyone.
More information will be shared with families closer to the trip date. We can’t wait to finish the summer together!
ESL Class Registration

Join our in-person registration to attend weekly ESL classes at Bayview Glen Church!
Whether you’re just beginning or want to strengthen your English skills, our classes welcome learners of all levels and cultures into a warm, supportive environment.
Each session will help you grow in confidence through everyday conversation, pronunciation, and grammar. It’s also a wonderful place to build friendships, share stories, and connect with a caring community.

Alpha Youth
When: Fridays from September 18 to November 13
Time: 7 to 9 PM
Where: Bayview Glen Church
Ages: Grade 7-12
If you’ve ever wanted a space to talk about faith, life, and meaning without any pressure, Alpha is for you.
It’s a 9-week series where students get together to grab dinner, watch a short film, and share their thoughts. There are no lectures and no expectations - just open, honest conversations with a meal.
The Weekend Away
October 30 – November 1, 2026
Partway through the course, we host a weekend retreat outside the city. It’s a great chance to take a break, hang out, and dive a bit deeper into the topics we talk about on Fridays.

The Alpha Course

Join us every Friday for dinner to explore life's deeper questions in a warm and laid-back setting.
Alpha is an 11-week journey that welcomes individuals of different ages, languages, and backgrounds. Whether you're new to faith, seeking understanding, or just curious, Alpha is for you.

Weekend Away: As part of Alpha, we invite all guests to a special weekend retreat, which is from Oct 30 - Nov 1, 2026. It's a chance to deepen connections and reflect on the course content. More information will be provided later on the course.
Childcare: We offer weekly childcare for our guests, ensuring everyone can fully engage with the material and participate in meaningful discussions. Each week, children will enjoy an age-appropriate dinner, fun toys, and a movie in a safe and welcoming environment. Please note that unattended children are not permitted in the church.

Baptism Classes
When: September 20th, 27th, and October 4th
Time: 12 to 1:15 PM
Where: The Gym at Bayview Glen Church
The Baptism service will be on October 17th and October 18th.
Baptism tells your family, community, and the world that you've said "YES!" to Jesus. It's an external representation of an internal reality you've been made new.
We'll meet to share our testimonies, learn about baptism, write up our stories and prepare for the upcoming baptism service. A light lunch will be served.

Family Dedications
When: Sunday, September 27
Have a baby or small child? Our Family Dedication is a service where parents make a public commitment to raise their child according to the ways of God.
It's not an act of salvation but rather a blessing over the family. This is a chance for us to celebrate and come alongside your family as you take this step and declare your intention to teach your children about Jesus and to encourage them in faith, as you strive to provide a Christian home of love and grace.

It’s a chance to see the heartbeat of our church and catch a glimpse of where He is leading us next. Together, we’ll celebrate how God has been at work and hear meaningful updates from our Elder Board. Whether you’ve been part of Bayview Glen for years or are just beginning to call it home, this evening will give you a deeper sense of who we are and where we’re going!
The AMMP is open to everyone, and Ministry Partners will also take part in voting, either in person or on their mobile device.

Why does God allow evil and suffering? How can a loving God permit pain, injustice, and loss?
Join us for an evening of thoughtful teaching and conversation as we explore what the Bible teaches about the reality of suffering, the character of God, and the hope He offers in the midst of life’s hardest questions.
Speakers include:
• Wes Huff – Vice President of Apologetics Canada and an internationally experienced speaker who has participated in public dialogues, debates, and interfaith events around the world. Wes is passionate about showing that the Christian faith is both intellectually credible and deeply satisfying for the questions we face in everyday life.
• Dr. Ben MacDonald – A theologian, speaker, and educator with a heart for engaging faith and culture. Recruiter and adjunct lecturer at Acadia Divinity College who has spent several years travelling as a speaker and preacher throughout the Maritimes and Ontario. With a deep love for both the Church and the academy, Ben is committed to helping people think deeply about their faith and engage thoughtfully with the world around them.

Bayview Babies (Ongoing)
When: Tuesday mornings
Where: Bayview Glen Church (Kid’s Wing)
Time: 10 AM to 12 PM
Bayview Babies is a space for parents to connect and encourage one another, as well as grow spiritually together. Parents will be going through a time of learning and discussion, praying for each other and finding support in this transitional time of life.
Parents are welcome to bring their little ones to play while connecting with others who are in a similar season.
No registration is required, simply drop by!
