Alpha Youth

If you’ve ever wanted a space to talk about faith, life, and meaning without any pressure, Alpha is for you.
It’s a 9-week series where students get together to grab dinner, watch a short film, and share their thoughts. There are no lectures and no expectations - just open, honest conversations with a meal.
The Weekend Away
October 30 – November 1, 2026
Partway through the course, we host a weekend retreat outside the city. It’s a great chance to take a break, hang out, and dive a bit deeper into the topics we talk about on Fridays.

The Alpha Course

Young Adults: Thanksgiving Potluck

We are so excited for our third annual Thanksgiving Potluck!
Last year's Thanksgiving potluck featured an incredible spread of delicious food, and we're aiming to make this one even better.
This potluck event also launches a new season for our Young Adult group, so invite your friends and enjoy an evening of fun, food, and fellowship!
RT4RL: Mental Wellness - A Youth Seminar & Parent Workshop
When: October 20
Time: 7 to 9 PM
Where: Bayview Glen Church
What is mental health and mental wellness, and how does it shape our everyday lives? Join us for an evening of learning and encouragement as we explore how mental health connects to the way we think, feel, and relate to others.
Our next Real Talks for Real Life youth seminar will also include a workshop just for parents!
Parents and youth will attend separate sessions at the same time.
For parents/caregivers: A welcoming workshop to deepen your understanding of mental health and explore ways to nurture mental wellness at home. Gain insight into supporting your teen, strengthening communication, and creating space for meaningful conversations as your family grows together.
For youth: A dedicated seminar to help you better understand your own mental health, recognize what supports your well-being, and grow in confidence as you navigate everyday life. Discover the value of caring for yourself, connecting with others, and reaching out for support.
All families are welcome!
Vision Session: Bayview Glen - Richvale

Youth Weekend Away
When: Friday, October 30th to Sunday, November 1st
Where: Fair Havens Camp and Conference Centre
Grades: 6-12
Cost: $150 per student
Get away, make friends, and grow in faith! All junior high and high school students are invited to join us for an overnight weekend retreat filled with fun, worship, and meaningful connection.
Whether you’re new to Bayview Youth, coming with friends, or joining on your own, there’s a place for you. Together, we’ll make memories, explore who the Holy Spirit is, and create space to draw near to God.

Discovery Course
When: Sundays, November 1, 8, 15

Go Deep Classes
When: Wednesdays, November 4 to 25, 2026
Time: 7 to 9 PM
Where: In-Person at Bayview Glen Church
This fall, we’re gathering on Wednesdays as a church family to learn and be intentional in our walk with God through our Go Deep classes (formerly Jesus First). Each class is a 4 weeks journey designed to deepen your faith and give you practical tools for everyday life.
Please note: Each course runs simultaneously on Wednesdays nights, so you’ll need to choose one for this season.
There is no childcare available.
Course Descriptions

God has uniquely wired you to serve and influence others, but do you know how?
Using the GRIP Leadership assessment, this course will help you understand your Spiritual Gifts, Team Styles, and Bodybuilding Roles so you can see where you fit in the body of Christ. You’ll walk away with clarity on how God works in and through you, and the confidence to serve with greater purpose, whether in your workplace, community, or church.

This class will explore the development of the Christian church from the early church through the pre-Reformation period. Students will study key figures, theological debates, councils, movements, and historical events that shaped Christian doctrine, worship, and church life during the first fifteen centuries of Christianity. The class aims to deepen understanding of how the foundations of the church were formed and how they continue to influence the Christian faith today.

Money can be one of the greatest stressors in life, or one of the greatest tools to honour God. This course will help you take practical steps to steward your finances well by exploring:
Cashflow: How to budget and manage income streams.
Debt & Savings: Strategies to find freedom and security.
Investments: Making wise, responsible choices for the future.
Taxes & Estate Planning: Preparing with wisdom and generosity.
You’ll walk away not only more financially equipped, but also with a bigger vision of how God uses our resources for His Kingdom.

This course is designed to help people grow in their understanding and practice of listening to God. The course will use Lectio Divina as a tool to slower our pace and prayerfully encounter with God's Word where we can come not just to study it, but to listen for God speaking through it.

Jesus advocated for justice and compassion for the poor, and in the same way, the church is uniquely positioned to make a lasting impact in our neighbourhoods. This 4-week series explores how we see scripture, theology and faith through the lens of the poor. The interactive sessions will challenge attendees to reimagine ways of engagement that connect our faith to how we serve the communities we live.

The Marriage Course is for every couple, whether newlyweds or decades in, because every season brings new joys and challenges. Many couples choose to retake it over the years as life changes and rhythms shift.
This course includes:
Evenings with dessert, teaching videos, and private couple discussions.
A safe, supportive space to reconnect and strengthen your marriage.
*Marriage Retreat is an optional experience and is open to all couples at Bayview Glen Church, regardless if enrolled in the Marriage Course.

As part of our Go Deep Classes, The Marriage Course invites you to invest in your relationship as we seek to flourish in Christ and reflect His love in our everyday lives, including at home!
Whether you’re newly married or have shared decades together, you’re welcome here. Every season brings new joys, challenges, and opportunities to deepen your connection. Some couples even return to the course as life changes, setting aside time to reconnect and keep growing.
Across our sessions, you’ll enjoy:
Time together: Welcoming evenings with dessert, engaging teaching videos, and space to slow down and focus on each other.
Practical tools: Explore ways to strengthen communication, navigate conflict, and nurture emotional and physical intimacy.
Private conversations: Guided discussions between you and your spouse, with no expectation to share personal details.

Our Marriage Retreat is a separate, optional experience open to all married couples at Bayview Glen Church. You’re welcome to attend whether or not you’re enrolled in The Marriage Course.

Why does God allow evil and suffering? How can a loving God permit pain, injustice, and loss?
Join us for an evening of thoughtful teaching and conversation as we explore what the Bible teaches about the reality of suffering, the character of God, and the hope He offers in the midst of life’s hardest questions.
Speakers include:
• Wes Huff – Vice President of Apologetics Canada and an internationally experienced speaker who has participated in public dialogues, debates, and interfaith events around the world.
• Dr. Ben MacDonald – A theologian, speaker, and educator with a heart for engaging faith and culture. Recruiter and adjunct lecturer at Acadia Divinity College who has spent several years travelling as a speaker and preacher throughout the Maritimes and Ontario.
Life Group Launch Day
When: Saturday, November 14 (Full Day)

Our Life Group Launch Day is designed to help you build real connections and form a community where faith is lived out together. Through fun activities and meaningful conversations, we’ll lay the foundation for your Life Group as you launch into your rhythms.

Life Group Leadership Launch

Life Group Leaders (LG Leaders) are integral to building meaningful community within the church and helping others grow in Jesus. They are ready to share life, follow where God is leading, and put Jesus First as they grow in community together.
LG Leaders recognize they are 'works-in-progress' and are open to learning alongside their LG members. All you need to be is authentic, spiritually maturing, and teachable!
As we seek to Go Deep in our faith and Go Lead others toward Jesus, Life Group Leaders help create spaces where people can grow, belong, and take their next step.

Thanksgiving SERVE: Meals for Neighbours
When: Saturday, October 3rd
Time: 10 AM to 8 PM (Separate time slots available below)

This Thanksgiving Season, we are providing Thanksgiving meals for our neighbours at 682 Warden Ave, who are facing poverty, isolation, mental illness and addiction.
Join us in spreading God's love by helping to cook and serve meals, cleaning with us, or donating food items to cook with!
There are several ways that you and your family can get involved. Look below for the options and register.
Annual Meeting of Ministry Partners

Join us for our Annual Meeting of Ministry Partners!
It’s a chance to see the heartbeat of our church and catch a glimpse of where He is leading us next. Together, we’ll celebrate how God has been at work and hear meaningful updates from our Elder Board. Whether you’ve been part of Bayview Glen for years or are just beginning to call it home, this evening will give you a deeper sense of who we are and where we’re going!
The AMMP is open to everyone, and Ministry Partners will also take part in voting, either in person or on their mobile device.

Family Dedications

Have a baby or small child? Our Family Dedication is a service where parents make a public commitment to raise their child according to the ways of God.
It's not an act of salvation but rather a blessing over the family. This is a chance for us to celebrate and come alongside your family as you take this step and declare your intention to teach your children about Jesus and to encourage them in faith, as you strive to provide a Christian home of love and grace.

Whether you’re just beginning or want to strengthen your English skills, our classes welcome learners of all levels and cultures into a warm, supportive environment.
Each session will help you grow in confidence through everyday conversation, pronunciation, and grammar. It’s also a wonderful place to build friendships, share stories, and connect with a caring community.

Bayview Babies (Ongoing)
When: Tuesday mornings
Where: Bayview Glen Church (Kid’s Wing)
Time: 10 AM to 12 PM
Bayview Babies is a space for parents to connect and encourage one another, as well as grow spiritually together. Parents will be going through a time of learning and discussion, praying for each other and finding support in this transitional time of life.
Parents are welcome to bring their little ones to play while connecting with others who are in a similar season.
No registration is required, simply drop by!
