FAQs

  • The Missions House is a welcoming, restful space to support our global missionaries during their furloughs. After prayer and discernment, our church leadership team dedicated this house on our property to serving missionaries.

They renovated it to create a place where missionaries can rest, renew, and connect with supporters and loved ones.

With four bedrooms and five beds, the Missions House provides a comfortable, meaningful environment, helping our missionaries feel valued, supported, and refreshed for their work worldwide.

  • A furlough, also known as a home assignment, is a unique and vital part of a missionary’s life. It provides missionaries with a period of connection, renewal, and rest. During furlough, they reconnect with supporters, tend to essential personal and family needs, share updates on their work, and seek encouragement.

However, furlough is not simply a "vacation"—it can be both uplifting and exhausting. Missionaries often face a whirlwind of travel, meetings, and logistical tasks, all while reflecting on their mission field experiences and preparing to return with renewed strength. Furloughs help missionaries find the balance they need to continue their work, sustaining their mission for the long term.

  • The Missions House will host our global Missions Partners while they are on furlough.

We will also offer this place to Alliance Canada’s Eastern Canadian District international workers.

  • Our Mission Partners are dedicated individuals and organizations serving locally and globally to share the love and message of Christ.

You can find more information on our Missions page here.

  • We will purchase the exact items shown in the registry or similar items of similar value from trusted vendors to ensure quality and suitability for the Missions House.

  • To streamline the process and make logistics easier, we are not accepting physical item donations at this time. This approach helps us maintain consistency in furnishing the Missions House.

  • To ensure the Missions House is furnished cohesively, we ask that all items be purchased directly from the registry.

  • Similar to last year, we will not be holding a Christmas Offering. Instead, we’re moving this initiative to our Easter Offering, a time when the organizations we support often need it most. This allows us to better align with their financial needs and make a greater impact.
